Nomination Papers

The nomination papers for candidates who wish to stand for any of the 13 seats on Allendale Parish Council are available from either Northumberland County Council

Northumberland County Council – Voting and Elections

or the Parish Clerk – allendaleparishcouncil@outlook.com

There are training videos on the Elections Page of Northumberland County Council’s website that explain how to complete your Parish nomination papers.

Nomination papers can only be handed in to Northumberland County Council (NCC) between 29th March and 8th April at designated locations in Alnwick, Berwick, Hexham and Morpeth (addresses are provided within the nomination process guidance). You can make an appointment with NCC to have your nomination papers checked during that period. This is recommended and can be done by the following link:

Polling

If there are more nominations than seats available, there will be an election, with polling on 6th May.  If there are the same number of nominations as seats available, there will not be an election and candidates will be ‘elected unopposed’ on 9th April 2021.

Election information will be periodically updated by the Elections Office.  Click on the NCC Elections page below to view the latest information.
