Ellington and Linton Parish Council
Ellington, and its close neighbour Linton, are two small adjoining villages close to the coast of Northumberland, both with a strong past association to coal mining. The Parish has a population of 2,778 (data from the 2011 Census). It is made up of mostly private housing, has two primary schools, village shops, a caravan park and a couple of pubs. The Parish is situated roughly 4 miles north of Ashington, and collaborates on community projects with the neighbouring villages of Cresswell and Lynemouth.
The Parish Council meets on the third Thursday of every month, alternating between Ellington and Linton Village Halls.
