National Clean Up Day
The Council have signed up to this day which is in March. More information will be available in the new year.
The Council have commissioned a stone to be positioned along from the War Memorial in the hospital gardens. The purpose is for families to be able to have the names of relatives, who have died in service to their country since the two world wars, commemorated on a plaque. There was a small ceremony at the end of the Remembrance Day Service on 11th November 2018 with the first name to go on.
The stone has been donated by Stephen Renwick from Northumbria Stone Products and, The Haltwhistle Boardwalkers have donated a large contribution to help purchase a seat.
