On 6th May 2021, the Government ended the Covid-19 pandemic emergency regulations to allow local authority meetings to be held virtually. This ruling has been upheld by the High Court. The current state of the law means there is a conflict between the provisions in the Local Government Acts and provisions under Health & Safety and Covid restrictions.

Please note that the changes referred to in the order will be in place for the forthcoming Parish and County Council Elections in May 2021.
