It is with regret and frustration that the Parish Council has had to announce the closure of the petition to the opposition to the Boundary Commission’s Final Recommendations for Brinkburn & Hesleyhurst parishes to be moved into the Longhorsley Division. We have now been informed that the Recommendations do not require approval in Parliament before being signed in law. There is nothing that our MP will be able to do to promote our campaign and affect the outcome. Once the process has been completed, we will be in the Longhorsley Division, and Glen Sanderson will be our County Councillor. There will be no further reviews in the near future, so our petition (which had a role in our appeal to the Boundary Commission) is not worth developing further.
