Civility & Respect Pledge & Revised Code of Conduct

At its meeting on 10th September 2024, the Parish Council signed up to the National Civility and Respect Pledge for Local and Parish Councils. Also, it adopted a new Code of Conduct for Councillors. Please see below.

Uniting For the Coquet – the launch of the Coquet River Action Group (CRAG)
      ‘Coquet River Action Group’ (CRAG) is being formally launched on September 12th 2024 and we would like to invite you to the launch event. 
CRAG is a newly formed umbrella organisation, currently bringing together nine local groups – including parish councils, environmental groups & women’s Institutes as well as the Northumberland Rivers Trust to contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the River Coquet.

THERE IS A PROPOSED CHANGE TO THE POLLING DISTRICT FOR BRINKBURN & HESLEYHURST (as previously discussed on this webpage). PLEASE SEE THE NOTICE FROM NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL  BELOW AND THE PROPOSED NEW POLLING STATION. All representations must be made by no later than 22 July 2024.

Notice is hereby given that in accordance with Section 18C of the Representation of the People Act 1983, Northumberland County Council (the Council) is to carry out a review of its polling districts and polling places.
