Broken Street Lights

If you spot broken or faulty streetlights  please report it to the City Council's service provider SSE Enterprise Lighting online or

Please ensure you have the reference number from the lamp post when reporting the fault. There is also an interactive map on the site which you can use to identify the lamp post.

 

Report Fly Tipping

If you witness a vehicle tipping the waste and the offence is ongoing, contact the police on 101. If the waste appears to be in or near a watercourse, contact the Environment Agency Emergency Hotline on 0800 80 70 60.

In order to report a fly-tipper you will need as much information as possible including:

  • The exact location and type of land.
  • A description of the person(s) fly-tipping.
  • The date and time the fly-tipping was seen, including the time the offence started and finished.
  • Details of where you were at the time.
  • Details of any other witness with you.
  • A description (make, colour, markings) and registration number of any vehicle involved.
  • The type and estimated quantity of the waste tipped.

Do not put yourself in danger by handling the rubbish or confronting fly-tippers. If you have details of the person or vehicle you have witnessed fly tipping please email us at psr@newcastle.gov.uk or telephone (0191) 2787878 and ask for Environmental Health.

Reporting Issues relating to Roads, Pavements, Environmental Maintenace etc

If you want to report any issues in relation to highways, pavements, grass cutting & environmental maintenance, bin collection, fly tipping and emptying of waste bins please report them using Newcastle City Council's Envirocall.

The link below takes you to the Envirocall home page and you can then select the type of issue you want to report. You can use the google map to confirm the location of the issue or use the post code if you have it.

Once reported you will be receive an email confirmation and reference number for the issue.
