Northumberland County Council’s free tree scheme is back again with individual
saplings and packs up for grabs.
The Council is once again inviting businesses, residents, schools, community groups
and town and parish councils across the county to take part in this year’s free tree
scheme, and this year more businesses are being encouraged to apply.

Melanie James, the proprietor of Glendale Fruit and Veg in Wooler, is going to bring her fruit and veg van to Etal every Wednesday for 1 hour from 11am to 12 noon from Wednesday 5th November on a trial period until Christmas.
She will be beside the Village Hall in the car park.
Following on from nominations received by Northumberland Council Council for the elections held on 1 May 2025, Ford Parish Council has one vacancy for a Councillor post election.
