"Ovington Celebrates the Jubilee"
Make a memento for the Jubilee. Create a ceramic coaster to keep and also decorate leaves for a community mural. All welcome.
The more leaves made, the bigger our mural tree can be! No charge; cash donations on the day. All that is needed is for you to place your design or write your address or write the name of your business on the clay. Below are some test leaves and a coaster to show you. Your design can be simple or detailed.
No experience necessary. No ‘messy’ clay as it will be prepared ready for you to imprint or draw your design onto. Your working session should take less than 30 minutes. After your design session, your pieces will be fired and glazed at a later date. You will then be able to collect your coaster.
Leaves you make will be mounted with hundreds of others to make a mural tree inside a village bus shelter. Our tree will recognise the Queen’s Green Canopy initiative and tree planting undertaken by volunteers all around our parish.
