Planning Consultation 25/03489/S106A Land Adjacent To No 1 Farriers Rise, Shilbottle - Parish Council Objection to the proposal

At the December monthly meeting on 10 December 2025, councillors agreed to publish here the submitted objection to The Northumberland Estates proposal to change the greater part of the use of Public Open Space located adjacent to No 1 Farrier Rise as issued via the Northumberland County Council Planning Portal.

At 16:46 Friday 10 October 2025, Shilbottle Parish Council recieved an email advising of the following:

"As the Clerk for Shilbottle Parish Council, please find attached a leaflet outlining details of an upcoming public consultation regarding the proposed development of 32 affordable homes in the area.

The leaflet is scheduled to be distributed to residents in close proximity to the site on Monday, ahead of the consultation event, which will take place on Tuesday, 21st October."

NOTICE OF VACANCY IN OFFICE OF A COUNCILLOR (Smith, L)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN

Pursuant to section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972, that Lisa Ann Smith formerly a Member of the above named Parish Council, has ceased to be a Member of the Parish Council, and that a vacancy now exists in the office of Councilor for the Parish.

SHILBOTTLE PARISH COUNCIL - SUMMER RECESS 2025

The Parish Council is now in recess for the summer with our next scheduled meeting Wednesday 10 September 2025.

Emails continue to be monitored by the Clerk and will be addressed throughout the recess period as far as practicable during this time.

"Dr Helen Paterson, being the Returning Officer for the Parish of Shilbottle at an Election of Parish Councillors for the said Parish report that the latest time for delivery of notices of withdrawal of candidature, namely Wednesday 2 April 2025, having passed, the persons whose names appear in the accompanying list stood validly nominated and were duly elected without a contest."
