Rachel Youll

Chair

Although originally born and bred in Morpeth, I have lived within Tritlington and West Chevington Parish for the last 40 years. The Youll family have resided and worked at Causey Park Bridge since the early 1930’s and are now a 4th generational, rural business.

I have taken an active part in the local community through various roles.  During the early 1980’s Tritlington First School was under threat of closure, as being one of over 50 Timber Framed built schools in need of urgent repairs.  I became the Secretary of an Action Campaign set up to save the school from imminent closure and along with dedicated parents and the community, a new school was constructed.  I was also a Parent Governor and later Secretary for the Parish Church Council. My professional background was as a Training Adviser, Careers Adviser and Project Co-ordinator supporting young people towards their transition into Education, Employment and Training throughout a variety of educational settings across Northumberland.

I run my own holiday let, do a bit of up-cycling of furniture, grow vegetables and flowers and overall enjoy creating something out of nothing.
