PARISH CLERK AND RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL OFFICER

 

Are you an experienced administrator or existing Clerk looking for an interesting and mostly home-based role?

Felton Parish Council is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to fill the role of Clerk to the Council and Responsible Financial Officer. We are seeking a good team player who will build a close working relationship with the councillors.

The Annual Parish Meeting, Wednesday 21st May 2025

The Annual Parish Meeting will be held on Wednesday 21st May 2025 at 7:00pm, at the Felton Village Hall.

All members of the public are welcome to attend.

Road closure requested by Chevron TM on behalf of Nationwide Platforms to carry out maintenance work to telecoms mast antennas. Expected work date 24/07/2025 between 10:00 - 16:00 Road closure order valid 24/07/2025 - 25/07/2025

Community Archaeology Meeting - April 16th 2025, 7:00pm - Felton Village Hall

You are invited to a short presentation at the Felton Village Hall to learn more about the recent archaeological investigations in and around Felton and Thirston Villages. 

Findings show the equivalent of an 'Anglo-Saxon Trading Estate' which could prove to be a hugely important find. 

Please come along and enjoy an informative evening with a short presentation with slides and a relaxed Q&A session thereafter. 

 

SURVEY: NCC Invite you to comment on how Publicly Accessible Green Spaces are Maintained (Deadline 21st April 2025)

As part of their Environmental Policy Statement the Council has made several commitments to support Nature Recovery & Biodiversity, these include:  

• To take a lead role on work to protect and enhance the natural environment and support improved biodiversity across the county.  

• To review our own land management and grounds maintenance practices to identify opportunities to support nature recovery and biodiversity whilst maintaining an attractive and safe environment
