Speed Survey carried out in December 2025

Please see copies of the speed data attached from the surveys carried out on West Road, Horsley Road & Castle View. The data has been summarised in the table below.

The data shows that the average speeds of vehicles are traveling well below the existing 30mph speed limit across all three sites. In regard to the 85th Percentile, the 85th percentile is that speed at which 85% of vehicles are travelling or less, while the remaining 15% of vehicles will be travelling above that speed.  

Within a 30mph speed limit, the 85th percentile is required to be a minimum of 35mph for enforcement to be considered by the police.

Agenda for Ovingham Parish Council Meeting - Thursday 20th November 2025

A meeting of Ovingham Parish Council will be held on Thursday, 20th November at 7.15pm at the Pavilion, Windsor Crescent, Ovingham. Members of the Parish are invited to attend.  A Parish Council Surgery will be held before the meeting from 6.00pm - 6.50pm, residents can book a 10 minute session by contacting The Clerk at:  ovinghamparishcouncil@yahoo.co.uk

Annual Governance and Accountability Return 2024/25

Under the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 and the Accounts and Audit (England) Regulations 2015 (SI 234) Parish Councils are required to announce a 30-working day period, during which Local Government Electors have the right to inspect the Accounts etc of the previous financial year (2024-25).  The period of inspection will run from 3.6.24 to 14.7.24.
